Company reports 16.3% spike in sales as profits also increase

Yanmar sees sales rise in first half of 2021

Yanmar Holdings has announced its interim consolidated financial results for the first half of FY2021, showing a 16.3% year-on-year rise in net sales, which stood at JPY 418.7bn.

Ordinary income was JPY 24.5bn, a 103.3% increase from the same period last year. Both sales and profits increased in the first half of the fiscal year due to sales growth mainly outside Japan and the promotion of company-wide cost structure reforms.

Increased orders in the industrial engine business for North America, Europe and China, as well as in the construction machinery and marine businesses for Europe, contributed to the growth in business performance.
