New XCT25 EV offers 25t lifting capacity, an operating rage of 800km fully fuelled, lower noise levels and ability to be powered from a mains electric supply
XCMG has developed a new truck crane with a hybrid diesel and battery-electric powertrain, which offers a 25t lifting capacity and an operating range of 800km.
The Chinese manufacturer said the new XCT25 EV model achieves its maximum 800km operating range with a with fully charged battery and full diesel tank. The crane has multiple operating models that can be switched between only battery, only diesel or combinations of diesel and battery. The crane can also be powered with a cable from a mains electricity supply.
The three-axle, four-section telescopic boom XCT25 EV boasts acceleration figures from 0 to 40 kmh in 16 seconds and 1.5 hours’ time to full recharge. XCMG also claims lower noise levels of 60db for the XCT25 EV compared to 80db for its diesel-only equivalent. XCMG added that it has registered 44 patents in China and nine outside China this year for its mobile cranes.
