Terex-owned access equipment heavyweight Genie has reported major success with international accolades in 2021, receiving 12 industry awards during the year.

The awards came from industry associations, a data analytics company and multiple trade publications, which recognised the brand and its products for their popularity, innovation and the value they add to owners and on job-sites.

Introduced only around mid-year, the new Genie GS-1432m and GS-1932m micro scissors received three separate awards from three prestigious global trade publications. In addition, the Genie S-60 J and S-65 HF telescopic boom lifts were selected for recognition by contractor readers of two other global publications.

Genie said its micro scissors are a safe alternative to ladders and a more productive alternative to vertical mast lifts. They also are well suited for jobs that normally employ a standard 4.3m or 5.55m scissor lift, making them versatile, do-it-all machines. The GS-1432m and GS-1932m also feature Genie’s AC electric drive (E-Drive) system, which the manufacturer says is four times more efficient than traditional hydraulic drive, enabling the scissors to run 30% longer on a single charge and reducing lifetime maintenance and ownership.

J Series boom lifts feature an unrestricted capacity of 300kg and a 1.8m jib, delivering peak performance while reducing total cost of ownership by as much as 20%, says Genie. A two-section boom and single envelope mast design help drive these cost savings by eliminating length sensors, cabling and wearable components throughout. One of most significant advantages of the J series is its best-in-class weight specifications, which reduces transportation and logistics costs.

Genie’s S-65 HF high float boom lift is designed for heavy lifting in sensitive turf conditions, and the company says the model is engineered to float on soft or delicate surfaces. The S-65 HF provides 21.86m working height, and 272kg unrestricted and 454kg restricted platform capacity without damaging ground surfaces.
